FresaFlo™

Mesh Hardware

Establish your FresaFlo™ mesh by starting up a control unit, and then add the desired number of sensor nodes with the FresaFlo™ application.

Core

FresaFlo Core acts as a gateway of your mesh: connect it to the Internet via Wi-Fi, and then it reads data from all sensor your units, sends data to you and forwards your commands to all the sensor units, wherever you are.

Node+, Node and Bridge

FresaFlo Nodes and Bridge are measuring devices with selected sensors, as defined in Table 1.

All measuring devices have multiple configuration options, but their default-settings allow ease of use:

  • Basic configuration options enable you to rename your mesh and its nodes, adjust measuring cycles, enable, set and disable alarms and then configuration settings of any node can easily be copied to other nodes, if needed.
  • Mesh node-mode enables a node to route other nodes’ data and your commands across the mesh. This operating mode enables a node to scan and connect nearby RuuviTag sensors to your FresaFlo mesh also. Mesh node-mode is a default communication setting of all the nodes, which ensures easy setup and use of your mesh system.
  • Advanced communication options include leaf node– and net rate-modes. Leaf node-mode is meant for minimizing power consumption of a node: it enables a node to focus on performing its measurements and reporting its data, while disabling data routing tasks. Net rate-mode enables tuning of the communication cycle of your mesh.

Measuring performance

Typical measuring accuracies and operating ranges of FresaFlo nodes are illustrated in Table 2.

FresaFlo nodes are designed for indoor use, and their allowed temperature range is 0…50°C, and relative humidity range 0…85%.

RuuviTag is a Bluetooth sensor that measures temperature, air humidity and pressure, even in wet, cold and hot conditions – both indoors and outdoors. RuuviTag’s measuring accuracies and operating ranges are illustrated in Table 3.

View air quality data wherever you are

Sense and monitor air quality around you or in your desired location, or in multiple locations easily and comfortably:

data icon

FresaFlo™ web app enables you to smoothly view online and historical data, measured by a sensor node, all sensor nodes of a mesh, or even multiple mesh systems – and all these you can do remotely.

settings icon

Configure your mesh easily: add or remove sensor units, rename sensors, set up measuring intervals and alerts. If you want to, you can tune and tailor a single sensor or the whole mesh system with the multiple performance options available.

Expanded Mesh

Each sensor unit in a FresaFlo mesh can ‘host’ and read data from one or more RuuviTag sensors (ruuvi.com),  and you can view the measuring results in FresaFlo™ application.

RuuviTag sensors enable performing temperature, pressure, and relative humidity measurements in a wide temperature range (-20…70°C) and  in high relative humidity conditions (up to 95%).

Consequently, our indoor air measuring mesh can be expanded to monitor air quality indoors in wet conditions and even outdoors.
